Tropical waters are for me the most beautiful in the world. Their hues and shades range from the crystal clear and bright turquoise of the shallows, moving to the darker greens and blues of deep water, all highlighted with moving flashes of gold as the light from the high sun flashes on the surface and dances on the seabed below.
The 6 inch frame for this piece was thrown on a pottery wheel and finished with 22k gold. The fibers in the weaving include nylon, cotton, wool, and silk. The beads are glass, metal and plastic.
