If anyone asks me about my favorite color, I’ll unhesitatingly answer “green”, and I think that’s why I enjoyed the day in Sitka, Alaska so much. Part of our day was spent walking in Sitka National Historic Park, a lush forest that’s dripping with mosses and ferns, and where any bend in the path can reveal magnificent totem poles. The forest goes right down to the waterline of the bay, revealing tall grey mountains in the distance.
