wp – midnight waters

I’ve never been skinny dipping. Not because I never wanted to, but because I never really had an opportunity that seemed right. Maybe Hollywood has ruined it for me, but I feel that it’s the sort of thing that needs the right setting. Night-time for sure. A moon of some shape to cast a bit of light, but not too much. The heat of summer pulling you to the cool water like a fish on a line. Maybe a dock of some sort so that you can slip straight into the deep dark, with nothing but the moon looking down at you. Surrounded by black but for the reflected moonlight sparkling in your splashes and the rippling waves interrupting the midnight surface of the water. Would the experience live up to my imagination? Perhaps one day I shall find out.
