Description
A pebble drops onto the surface of a still pond, and the resulting splash catches the sunlight before dropping back down to meet the cool deep. Waves of energy quickly spread out from the epicenter to fill the pond, undulating with diminishing motion until slowly the surface once again becomes a mirror. Look closer and you will however see that the pond is no longer the same. There is damp residue from the waves lapping at its edges and the water level is ever so slightly higher, bearing witness to what has just happened.
This is all that is needed. A pebble. A thought. Out of the silence, someone speaking for something. Against something. Advocating. Trying something new. Starting the ripple, for without this we will remain stagnant.
