wp – water

Ask a child to draw a body of water and they’ll reach for the blue crayon, but it’s really more complicated than that – salt, fresh, river, lake, spring, frozen, ocean and more – each has it’s own palette. This piece is inspired by so many of the different shades of water that I’ve seen, from the deep dark blue of the ocean, the crystal clear turquoise of the tropical shallows, to the mud-filled water of an engorged river after a storm or even the red and green shades of an algae bloom. Water is life and gives me joy is so many of variations.
