Description

As spring approaches in March, the monochrome winter world begins to show hints of color.   One of the earliest signs in my garden is the cherry blossoms, filling the tree with their delicate pink glory and promising warmer days to come.

The 5.5 inch frame for this piece was thrown on a pottery wheel in black clay and then glazed in white.   The fibers in the weaving include nylon, wool, leather, acrylic and alpaca.   The beads are glass and cultured pearls.
